Soft-Close Hinge Mechanism
The Harbour Housewares toilet seat features an integrated soft-close mechanism designed to control the movement of the seat and lid as they are lowered.
Instead of allowing the seat to drop suddenly, the hinges slow the closing movement to help reduce noise and impact against the toilet pan.
This feature is particularly useful in family bathrooms, shared households and other areas where quieter operation is preferred.
For correct operation, gently lower the seat or lid and allow the mechanism to complete the closing movement without forcing it shut.
Durable MDF Wooden Construction
The toilet seat is manufactured from medium-density fibreboard, an engineered wood material designed to provide a firm and comfortable seating surface.
The MDF construction offers a substantial feel compared with many lightweight plastic toilet seats and is designed to remain comfortable during everyday bathroom use.
The manufacturer describes the material as resistant to normal temperature changes, making it suitable for use in typical indoor bathroom conditions.
Decorative Grooved Lid Design
The white lid features a series of decorative grooves that create a subtle lined pattern across its surface.
This design adds visual interest while maintaining a clean and understated appearance suitable for a variety of bathroom styles.
The white finish works particularly well with traditional white ceramic toilet pans, chrome bathroom fittings and neutral bathroom interiors.
Chrome-Coloured Hinge Fittings
The toilet seat includes chrome-coloured hinge fittings designed to connect the seat and lid to a compatible toilet pan.
The metallic finish complements common bathroom accessories such as chrome taps, towel rails and other fixtures.
The hinges are described as universal-style fittings, although actual compatibility depends on the dimensions and fixing arrangement of the individual toilet.
