Please Note: This listing is for 1 x KitchenRaku Clear Silicone Mat measuring 60 x 90cm, with a thickness of approximately 1.5mm. The manufacturer states a silicone temperature resistance range of -40°F to 482°F (approximately -40°C to 250°C). This is a flexible protective mat, not a rigid chopping board or heatproof worktop. Heat Resistance and Surface Protection
The KitchenRaku silicone mat is manufactured from heat-resistant material with a stated temperature tolerance of approximately -40°C to 250°C. This makes it suitable for a range of kitchen uses where a flexible, heat-resistant protective surface is required.
The mat helps provide a barrier against everyday moisture, oil, food spills and light surface abrasion. However, the temperature resistance of the silicone itself does not guarantee that the underlying worktop will be protected from all heat transfer. Extra care should be taken with very hot cookware, prolonged heat exposure and heat-sensitive surfaces.
Cleaning and Care
-
Everyday Cleaning: Wipe the mat using a soft damp cloth to remove light dirt and food residue.
-
Hand Washing: Wash using water and a suitable mild detergent when required.
-
Dishwasher Cleaning: The manufacturer identifies the mat as dishwasher safe; ensure it is positioned appropriately and does not obstruct moving components.
-
Drying: Allow the mat to dry thoroughly before returning it to the worktop.
-
Storage: Roll or fold the mat when not in use and store in a clean, dry location.
-
Surface Preparation: Ensure both the mat and the worktop are clean and dry before laying the mat flat.

- 1 x KitchenRaku Clear Silicone Worktop Protector Mat – 60 x 90cm
Important Information
- This listing is for the 60 x 90cm clear silicone version, not the 40 x 120cm or 60 x 120cm variants.
- The mat is approximately 1.5mm thick and is flexible rather than rigid.
- The manufacturer-stated temperature resistance range is -40°C to 250°C.
- Silicone heat resistance does not mean that every underlying surface can withstand the same temperatures.
- Do not place excessively hot cookware on heat-sensitive worktops without confirming that the surface and protective arrangement are suitable.
- Do not expose the mat to direct flames, heating elements or open fire.
- This product is not a replacement for a rigid chopping board; sharp knives and cutting tools may damage or puncture the silicone.
- Non-slip performance may vary depending on the material, texture, cleanliness and condition of the underlying surface.
- Both the mat and worktop should be clean and dry before installation to help reduce trapped moisture and visible air bubbles.
- The clear silicone may appear slightly different depending on the underlying surface, lighting and viewing angle.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning materials or sharp objects that could damage the mat.
- If trimming the mat, measure carefully and use suitable cutting equipment on a separate protective cutting surface.
- Inspect the mat periodically and discontinue use if it becomes torn, punctured or otherwise damaged.
- Please check the 60 x 90cm dimensions before purchasing to ensure the mat is suitable for the intended surface.
