Please Note: This listing is for the 140 x 200cm rectangular rug in Cream, not the beige, ivory or other colour variants. The rug features approximately 5cm-long shaggy fibres and a 10mm sponge interlayer. These are separate measurements and should not be confused with the overall rug thickness. Soft Shaggy Pile and Sponge Padding
The Sour Lemon rug features a layered construction designed to combine a fluffy appearance with a cushioned feel.
-
Upper Layer: Approximately 5cm-long soft textile fibres provide the rug's distinctive shaggy texture.
-
Middle Layer: A 10mm resilient sponge interlayer adds cushioning beneath the surface fibres.
-
Lower Layer: A backing with small plastic grip dots helps reduce unwanted movement on suitable flooring.
The combination of these layers provides a lightweight, soft-textured rug suitable for everyday decorative use in the home.
Non-Slip Backing
The underside of the rug features numerous small plastic grip dots designed to increase friction against suitable floor surfaces.
This backing helps reduce unwanted movement during normal household use. However, grip performance depends on the flooring material, surface texture and cleanliness.
For best results, place the rug on a clean, dry floor and ensure the backing is fully in contact with the surface.

Removing Temporary Creases
The rug may arrive folded for transportation, which can create temporary creases or flattened areas in the fluffy surface.
- Unpack the rug and spread it flat on a clean, dry floor.
- Gently roll the rug in the opposite direction to any visible creases.
- Allow the rug to rest flat so the fibres and sponge padding can gradually recover.
- Gently fluff the fibres by hand to help restore their appearance.
- Repeat the process if necessary, taking care not to damage the backing or pile.
Colour and Appearance
The rug features a neutral cream colour designed to complement a wide range of interior styles.
As the surface consists of long, soft fibres, the appearance may change slightly depending on the direction of the pile, room lighting and viewing angle. The colour may also appear different under warm, cool or natural lighting conditions.
